Job Title: Product Specialist – Oncology
Reporting to: Regional Head – East Africa
Department: MarketingOur client is a global, innovation-driven biopharmaceutical business that focuses on the discovery, development and commercialization of prescription medicines, primarily for the treatment of cardiovascular, metabolic, respiratory, inflammation, autoimmune, oncology, infection and neuroscience diseases.
They operate in over 100 countries and its innovative medicines are used by millions of patients worldwide.
In East Africa they are represented in four countries i.e Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania and Uganda.
Kenya is the hub of East Africa business and offers marketing & sales support to the rest of the EAC community.
They are seeking to recruit an experienced Product Specialist.
Position Purpose
Contribute to business success through:
Product and Therapeutic area expertise
In-field customer interaction responsible for building KOL networks and managing KOL relationships and development.
Generating market insights through working collaboratively within the regional brand team to develop the East African product plans aligned to regional strategy for Oncology and drive the in-country strategy, tactics and achievement of product KPI’s.
Achieve financial objectives through collaboratively working with Key Account Managers ensuring formulary listings at key institutions.
Key Performance Areas
Build KOL network and optimized Stakeholder relationships through 60% in-field customer interactions
Develop and implement brand operational plans across East Africa, aligned to regional strategy
Organizes and drives preparations and EIC approval for product marketing events i.e. Product Launch events, international speaker events
Deliver market insight

Minimum Requirements
A degree in sales and marketing or its equivalent.
3 years sales or marketing experience (industry experience a distinct advantage)
Relevant tertiary business qualification an advantage
