Brand Manager Career Opportunities at SMEP, Kenya
SMEP Microfinance Bank Limited, a Christian based bank regulated by the Central Bank of Kenya, invites applications from interested and suitably qualified candidates to fill the positions of a Brand Manager
The main purpose for the job is to provide leadership and direction in marketing and promotion of the company’s products and services in order to enhance growth and presence in the market leading to increased company profitability. The job may involve lots of travel within the country and requires a flexible person.
Brand Manager Job Duties and responsibilities
Reporting to the Head of Business Development & Marketing the successful candidate will be expected to carry out the following: –
Formulate, develop and review marketing policies and strategies that optimize sales of company services
Develop and execute marketing plans, and programs both short and long term to ensure market share growth
Ensure effective control of marketing results and corrective action to achieve marketing objectives within set targets and budgets
Conduct market research, intelligence and analysis in order to develop competitive product pricing plans
Coordinate products promotional activities and events with appointed agencies and ensure adherence to company and product guidelines
Develop and ensure implementation of effective customer care mechanism that ensures responsiveness to customers’ expectation
Coordinate preparation of budgets and control expenditure
Prepare and present to the Management regular sales and marketing status reports.
Provide leadership, staff development and ensure an environment of discipline and team work
Perform any other function as may be directed by management from time to time
Qualifications and competencies for Brand Manager Jobs in Kenya
Bachelor’s degree with a bias in Marketing
Post graduate diploma in Marketing or Public Relations
Member of Chartered Institute of Marketing, PR or Communications
Have 3 years relevant work experience preferably in a financial/microfinance environment
Be aged between 30-40 years
Applicants must be committed Christians
Other key skills –
Posses a demonstrated ability in strategy formulation, mature & self-driven with a positive outlook, excellent public relations skills and emphatic communicator.
Must have a clear focus on high quality and business profit also a natural forward planner who critically assesses own performance, a team player with excellent managerial and interpersonal skills including ICT skills
