CGGC(China Gezhouba Group Company Ltd): CGGC has been contracted by the Government of Kenya through Athi Water Services Board to construct The Northern Water Collector Tunnel Phase 1 Project. 

Due to the progress of the project, CGGC would like to recruit certain local staff which shown as following.

Job Requirements

 
1st: Equipment Manager & Metal Process Manager & Welder

• Fluent in English & better knowing Chinese


• Familiar with a variety of mechanical features & various machining processes & welding and oxygen welding


• Holding a driver"s license of Kenya


• Priorities to those who have working experience in Chinese companies


• At least 5 years working experience in equipment management graduating from technician training school

2nd: Geological Engineer & Design Engineer

• The ability of the tunnel excavation of rock classification and forecast the tunnel rock classification.


• The ability to carry out geological sketch tunnel work.


• Engaged in more than two tunnel project of geological work with bachelor degree


• Familiar with the design of hydraulic structures (Fig excavation and support, foundation treatment map, metal structures, etc).


• Familiar with the underground structure design (Fig excavation and support, reinforcing steel bar, filling Figure).

3rd: Lab Engineer & Lab Technician

• Familiar with the concrete, sand , gravel aggregates, cement, and soil tests.


• Engineering experience.


• Priorities to those who has worked in Chinese companies.


• At least 5 years working experience graduating from training school

4th: Quality Control Engineer & Safety / Health Officer

• Holding quality engineer certificate issued by the Government of Kenya & familiar with Kenyan laws & regulations.


• Familiar with the concrete construction, housing construction, and earthwork construction and safety checking standard & safety operation regulations.


• With engineering experience.


• Priorities to those who has worked in Chinese companies.


• At least 5 years working experience site safety management graduating from training school

5th: Commercial Assistant

• Familiar with English and computer software


• At least 5 years’ experience graduating from training school

6th: Material Engineer, Equipment Manager Assistant

• Familiar with British Standard and Knowing Nairobi industrial area.


• Priority to those in working construction companies


• Familiar with the common machines working principle and management and maintaining for construction companies.10 years’ experience.


• Familiar with the common equipment for construction company and skills to use computer software; with abilities to handle CAD drawing generally


• With convincing communications skills.

7th: Civil Engineer: at least 15 years and 10 years’ experience relatively in civil construction
 

8th: Sociologist: at least 10 years’ experience and 5 years relatively
 

9th: Assistant Electrical Engineer: Major in Civil Engineering, 3 yrs above experience
 

10th: Operation Manager Assistant: Major in hydropower electricity, 3 years above experience in hydropower construction
 

11th: Engineer Geologist Assistant: Major in Geology with bachelor degree, at least two years experience in geology
