Job Title: Production Planner
 

Department: Production
 

Direct report: Plant Manager
 

Interface with: Quality Control, Consumable store, Blow Moulding, Injection Moulding, Sales, Finished Goods Stores, Work-In-Progress, Tool room, maintenance

Supervises: None
 

Job Purpose: To prepare daily production plans as per approved customer LPOs to meet promised delivery time.
 

Primary Responsibilities

• Prepare production plans for all production activities as per customer orders.


• Reviewing status of production plan execution to make any necessary adjustments.


• Coordinating work-in-progress activities i.e. sleeving, labelling and printing to ensure accurate quantities are produced.


• Liaising with Finished Goods store to get accurate stocks data while preparing plan.


• Liaising with production to confirm status of production machines.


• Reviewing of machine efficiencies for consideration while making the plan.


• Liaising with Sales department for customer order status.


• Liaising with Consumable stores for status of consumable materials.


• Adhering to the laid down ISO procedures.


• Adhering to safety procedures and regulations.


• Any other duty as may be allocated by management.

Records to maintain: Printing Production and Quality Control Sheet, Flaming Request, Goods Request Note, Printing Daily Production Sheet and manpower reports.

Candidate Specific
 

Academic Qualifications

• Certificate or diploma in science or technical field will be an added advantage.


• Minimum secondary school education

Experience

• 5+ years’ experience as a planner in manufacturing environment.


• Knowledge of various plastic production machines.

Skills

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.


• Strong problem solving / troubleshooting skills.

Other: Certificate of Good Conduct from police CID (Kenyan citizens)
