Job Title: Sales Rep - Medical Tourism
Reporting To: Business Manager
Position Function: Responsible for the maximization of sales and providing data regarding market and competitor activities so that the product can meet and exceed customer standards / expectations
Duties and Responsibilities
- Regular Meeting with doctors, pharmacists and hospital medical teams, who can refer patients.
- Responsible for acquiring and servicing key clients in the allocated segment and identify growth opportunities so as to increase market penetration and optimize the company’s market share.
- Research and identify sales opportunities, generate leads and close sales on a consistent basis and in line with delivery terms.
- Contribute to planning and implementation of sales and marketing strategies together with the team so as to achieve the envisioned business growth plan.
- Identifying new avenues for product improvement and on new product by consistently researching and remaining up to date with current industry trends, market activities and competitors.
- Maintaining effective communication channels between sales team and other departments to ensure smooth execution of business plans and strategies.
- Developing partnership with customers to ensure successful market entry plans and trade management.
- Ensuring complaints and after-sales service issues and remedies are managed in time and to the satisfaction of the customer.
- Maintain productive relationships across the sales team to fast-track revenue growth.
- Represent the Company at business forums and client sites when required.
- Regular "cold" calling;
- Making presentations/Details Explanation to doctors, practice staff and nurses, Travel Agents, and Medical Tourism companies about Sarvodaya Hospital
- Organizing CME/OPD for doctors and other medical staff.
- Building and maintaining positive working relationships with Doctors.
- Keeping detailed records of all contacts
- Reaching and exceeding annual sales targets;
- Planning work schedules and weekly and monthly timetables.
- Regularly attending doctors meetings, and making briefings
- Maintaining knowledge of new developments with all stake-holders, anticipating potential Positive and/or Negative impacts on the business and adapting strategy accordingly.
- Developing strategies for increasing opportunities to get and convert contacts in the medical and healthcare sector.
- Collecting medical opinion from Kenyan doctors who are referring patients to through the company.
- Providing proper briefing to the clients.
- Prepares reports by collecting, analyzing and summarizing information
Competencies required
- Business Degree/ Diploma preferably in Marketing.
- At least 3 years experience in related field.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.

- Patience and self-motivation;
- Analytical and planning skills;
- Networking skills;
- Strong sense of teamwork and ability to work cross functionally with minimal supervision.
