Job Opening: Regional Finance Manager
Work Location: Nairobi, with frequent travel to AAH-I field locations
About Action Africa Help International: Action Africa Help International (AAH-I) is a regional African - led non - governmental organisation that supports livelihood-challenged communities in East and Southern Africa to sustainably improve their well-being and standard of living.
With Country Programmes in South Sudan, Kenya, Somalia, Uganda, Zambia and recently in Djibouti, AAH-I has over 25 years’ experience working with communities in conflict and post-conflict situations, including refugees, internally displaced people and host communities.
More recently AAH-I has expanded its activities to work with other marginalised communities, including pastoralists and people living in informal urban settlements.
As part of our expansion we are seeking a Regional Finance Manager to join our Headquarters team in Nairobi.
Under the overall leadership of the Finance and Administration Director, the Finance Manager will be responsible for managing all the operational budget in HQ and Somalia program.
S/he will work closely with the Country Program Manager - Somalia and all the support teams to ensure shared services are costed properly and accurately charged.
S/he will work to ensure there is satisfactory performance of the HQ and Somalia program financial operations.
The Finance Manager will efficiently and effectively ensure all aspects of financial management in accounting, regulatory and financial reporting, budget and financial forecasts preparation are done and in a timely and accurate manner both at HQ and Somalia program

Qualifications
- Bachelor degree in Commerce or equivalent with CPA (K) certification
- Master’s in Business Accounting, Commerce or Finance, will be an added advantage
- At least eight (8) years of relevant work experience in financial management
Skills and Competence
- Good financial management skills
- Strong analytical skills with good attention to detail
- Excellent financial planning, budgeting and report-writing skills
- Ability to effectively communicate complex financial issues, both orally and in writing, to a variety of recipients, including external donors and internal staff
