Project Manager and Business Development Chief Officer
Our Client is a development organization that applies the principles of microfinance to small-scale farming.
Hereby, we provide farm inputs and training on loan basis to farmers who then repay in installments.
Currently the organization is working with 800 farmers in the area of Kisumu and Siaya and the objective is to expand the coming years.
Scope of Work: Our client is looking for a person who can implement the organizational structures and procedures that they are until now partially missing, and create the ground for a healthy expansion in the next two years time.
Leadership experience is very important for the person we are looking for.

- Knowledge of the Kenyan Agribusiness sector
- Knowledge of the reality of small-scale farming
- Ability to prioritize among different tasks
Qualifications
- University Degree in relevant study (economics/agriculture)
- In depth understanding of the social dynamics and agricultural sector of Kenya
- Outstanding interpreter of the working environment in a rural context
- Fluency in both English and Luo Language
- Excellent reporting skills in English
- Excellent computer skills
Professional Experience
- Three or more years of experience in project management
- Experience in the agribusiness sector and small-scale farming is an asset.
Duration and Location: The initial contract will be of 6 months with the option of prolongation if the objectives are met.
