Kenya National Bureau of Statistics (KNBS) is a corporate body established under the Statistics Act (2006). It is the principal Government agency responsible for the collection, compilation, analysis, publication and dissemination of official statistical information and its custody.

Job Purpose:
An Intern at this level will work under a senior officer who will be appointed as a Supervisor to guide him /her in the performance of duties in the area of Finance and Accounts.
Duties and Responsibilities: –
- Participating in verifying vouchers and committal documents;
- Participating in receiving and registering processed payments and receipt vouchers;
- Participating in posting payments and receipt vouchers in the cash books;
- Participating in raising requisitions for cash reimbursement;
- Participating in recording payment receipts;
- Participating in updating and maintaining accounting information;
- Participating in controlling and maintaining staff Imprests and advances records;
- Undertaking any other duties assigned by the Supervisor.
Requirements for Appointment
- Must be a Kenyan citizen;
- Must have attained a Bachelor Degree in Commerce (Accounting or Finance option); Business Administration (Accounting option) or related qualifications from a recognized institution;
- A pass in Part II of the Certified Public Accountants (CPA) or Part II of ACCA Examination or any other related qualifications from a recognized institution will be an added advantage.
