JOB TITLE:           AUDIT OFFICER


 Job Purpose


Contribute to the Internal Audit (IA) function by identifying risks associated with business operations and evaluating the controls in place to mitigate those risks in order to improve the effectiveness of risk management, internal controls, and governance.


 Responsibilities



  • Conduct assurance and information systems audits to provide assurance on the adequacy of internal controls.

  • Identify key areas of risk within the organization and propose appropriate mitigation controls.

  • Aid in annual audit planning, delivery and performance assessment

  • Performing audit fieldwork, including system documentation and preparing audit reports in line with the approved audit plan.

  • Monitoring the timely implementation of the management actions recommended in the audit reports.

  • Develop, build & implement tools to analyse data to improve audit efficiency and effectiveness.

  • Develop and maintain an effective business Risk Assessment framework, including IT Risks.

  • Manage and ensure quality of all audit work conform to the internal policies and audit standards.

  • Conduct ad-hoc investigations and reviews on a need basis.


Qualifications



  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Finance or related degree

  • Holds a CPA and CISA professional certification

  • At least 3 years working experience in Internal Audit and Information systems Audit.

  • Excellent Communication (oral and writing reports) and Presentation skills

  • Ability to work in a high-pressure environment with little or no supervision

  • Demonstrated influencing skills to elicit cooperation and action from all levels of management
