ECLOF Kenya, an established and fast growing Christian Microfinance company seeks to recruit a Human Resource and Administration Manager.

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the individual is responsible for providing leadership and strategic direction to the organization’s human capital to meet the present and future business needs and demands, and is charged with overall general administration duties.

The major roles and responsibilities include:
* Spearhead the development and implementation of the company’s human capital strategy.
* Develop, implement and update strategies, policies, systems and procedures within the human resources function in supporting the organizations business strategy.
* Participate in change management programs/processes to support the company’s strategic direction, and support the building and maintenance of the desired corporate culture.
* Develop and manage effective, competitive and sustainable staff compensation scheme.
* Carry out periodic HR Audits
* Undertake period analysis of human capital issues and submit reports for the Senior Management Team and the Board.
* Manage the manpower planning process, selection and recruitment of staff.
* Develop/update, implement and coordinate staff performance management and monitoring system including the staff performance appraisal system and competency building.
* Manage staff training and development process.
* Manage employee and industrial relations process.
* Ensure an effective HR administration process.
* Manage effective staff communication systems.
* Develop and maintain an effective staff welfare system.
* Ensure occupational health and safety of staff.
* Provide occupational counselling and assistance to staff.
* Ensure proper insurance cover for all facilities and equipments and any other assets of the company.
* Ensure adequate security for company assets and facilities.
* Coordinate the logistical and procurement activities within the company.
* Oversee repairs and maintenance of all the premises, equipments and other assets of the company.
* Undertake period analysis of administration issues and submit reports for the Senior Management Team and the Board. Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum of a master’s degree in a relevant field such as business, human resource or organization development.
* At least five (5) years experience hands on experience in human resource management and general administration at senior management level.
* Post graduate Diploma in human resource management.
* Should be a member of a recognised professional body - Institute of Human Resource Management (IHRM) or Institute of Certified Public Secretaries (CPS)
* Strong self belief, drive and practical ability to lead and motivate teams
* Good mentoring and coaching skills
* Quick decision making and problem solving ability
* Strong public relations and networking skills
* Excellent communication, report writing, and negotiation skills
* Excellent business and people management skills and good knowledge of labour laws and current human resource practices
* Strong Christian commitment

Area Manager

We are seeking to recruit a dynamic and talented staff with drive and passion for microfinance development, to the position of Area Manager.

Reporting to the Operations Manager, the successful candidate shall be responsible for providing leadership to respective business units in the Western Area, planning and co-ordinating activities and ensure efficiency and effectiveness in all operations within the Area.

The position is based in Nakuru, with frequent travel to the units (branches).

Roles and Responsibilities

* Ensure organization’s policy, procedures, and business plans are clearly explained, understood and implemented by all Business Units.
* Set realistic targets for each Business Unit under their jurisdiction, and manage the performance management process including, appraisals and evaluation
* Establish and nurture productive relationships with key stakeholders in the Area
* Ensure an effective staff management process is in place and operational for the Area including recruitment, induction/orientation, training, discipline and growth and development.
* Advice the supervisor on matters related to credit operations and provide market intelligence information to guide in policy formulation.
* Ensure adherence to effective checks and balances, procedures and clear audit trails within the Business Units.
* Coordinate market surveys for new areas, potential markets and credit needs analysis within the Area.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience

* Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Economics, Marketing or Social Science and a Diploma in microfinance or banking field
* At least five (5) years work experience in a micro-finance institution two (2) years of which must have been as a branch/unit manager
* In addition, the successful candidate shall possess excellent communication skills, group mobilization skills, leadership & management skills, training and facilitation skills, good public relation and negotiation skills

Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer, the position is responsible for developing strategies in identifying, assessing, managing and minimizing the company’s exposure to credit risk which leads to financial loss.

The position is based in the Head Office, with travel to the field.

The successful candidate should be in possession of a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Development Finance or equivalent plus CPA Section III qualification, or its equivalent.

It requires relevant work experience of 5 years, within the microfinance context.

Credit Risk Officer

Reporting to the Credit Risk Supervisor, the position is responsible for providing credit administration to the company.

The position is based in the Head Office, with travel to the field. The successful candidate shall be in possession of a Bachelors degree in Economics, Commerce, Business Administration, Development Finance or equivalent plus CPA Section III qualification, or its equivalent.

It requires relevant work experience of 3 years, within the microfinance context.

ECLOF Kenya, an established and fast growing Christian Microfinance company seeks to recruit a Chief Executive Officer. This follows expansion in ECLOF’s local and regional operations. The company, which is part of ECLOF International, operates through a wide branch and agency network in the country.

The person we are looking for must be dynamic, strategic oriented, with drive and passion for microfinance development.

Reporting to the Board of Directors, the individual will be responsible for providing overall strategic leadership and direction to the organization, developing and managing the implementation of the organization’s business strategy and operations; growth and development of the organization for maximisation of shareholder’s value in line with ECLOF Kenya’s Mission, vision, goals and objectives; and represent the organisation to the wider public in order to build a positive image.

The major roles and responsibilities include:
* Development and implementation of the strategic and business plans, annual operating plans, management plans and budgets to ensure that they are in accordance with established missions, goals and standards as approved by the Board.
* Ensuring the implementation and compliance with the organization’s policies and industry statutory regulations and requirements.
* Formulation and implementation of guidelines, procedures, and internal controls consistent with set policies and industry regulations
* Development and maintenance of productive and profitable relationships with the Business Community, Government, Funding Partners, Non-Governmental Organisations, target beneficiaries, and any other stakeholders.
* Development and management of strategies to meet the organization’s financing needs in line with the strategic and business plan.
* Ensuring that the organization’s financial and non-financial resources are effectively and efficiently managed by maintaining sound financial controls, prudent procedures, adequate records, and accountability standards that meet requirements of the Board of Directors, Funding Partners, and Regulatory Authorities.
* Making proposals, assessments and reports to the Board for information or approval to enhance the business of the company.
* Act as the link between staff and the Board.
* Fostering a culture which promotes good corporate governance.
* Responsible for overall day-to-day operations of the company.

Qualifications and Experience:
* Minimum of a Masters degree in business or finance oriented disciplines.
* Advanced or Post graduate diploma in banking or microfinance.
* At least ten (10) years relevant work experience, five (5) of which must have been in senior management position within the financial sector (microfinance and/or banking institution).
* Clear understanding and experience of the microfinance industry.
* Appreciation of MFI deposit taking and CBK regulations will be an added advantage.

Other Competencies:
* Strong self belief, drive and practical ability to lead and motivate teams

* Quick decision making and problem solving ability
* Strong public relations and networking skills
* Excellent communication, report writing, and negotiation skills
