Internal Auditor Ref. IA/2010

Responsibilities
* Reviewing the UNSACCO internal Policies and controls systems to ensure Compliance.
* Ensuring compliance with the SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority Regulation
* Ensuring that that the Society’s Financial Accounting and Reporting is in Compliance with the IAS.
* Preparing quarterly internal audit reports
* Advising the Management and the Board on areas of improvement
* Following up on the implementation of the recommendations

Qualifications

Desired Qualifications and experience
* A University degree in finance or accounting
* Fully qualified Certified Public Accountant CPA(K)
* At least 5 years relevant working experience in a busy computerized audit environment, 3 of which must be at a supervisory level.
* Excellent communication, organizational, interpersonal skills and a good team player.
* Well developed IT skills especially computerized accounting and Ms Excel.
* Able to work under pressure to meet strict deadlines with minimum supervision

An ideal candidate must have good leadership, interpersonal & organization skills and ability to perform the day to day deliverables and process for the Finance function from cycle start to end.

The tasks also include the following:-
* Developing customer care plans
* Public relations management
* Coordination of customer service activities
* Internal team work and liaison
* Conduct customer care surveys and action on the survey results
* Managing enquiries; internal and external customers
* Production of daily, weekly, monthly and annual reports
* Customer Satisfaction reports

The suitable candidate must meet the following minimum qualifications:
* A University Degree or its equivalent in a relevant field study and/or must have financial background.
* Diploma in Marketing
* CPA (K) or its equivalent
* Computer literacy
* Banking qualification (ACIB) will be an added advantage
* 5 years relevant financial working experience 3 of which must be at a supervisory level.
* Aged not more than 40 years
* An ideal candidate must have good interpersonal and organization skills.
