A strong emphasis is placed on empowering people with disabilities through their integration into mainstream development activities and the provision of appropriate health and rehabilitation services to ensure equal opportunities for all.
The Position
Under the direct supervision of the Regional Programme Director and in constant link with the Finance and Administrative Coordination and Technical Coordination unit, the NPC shall ensure (develop and maintain) the administrative and operational framework of HI interventions in the field as per the programme strategy. The NPC ensures leadership and empowerment of the field team; internal control & quality assurance for all operations; representation.
He/she is responsible for:
At least a Degree in a Social Sciences or a related fieldKnowledge of financial and logistics procedures and/or systems.At least 5 years working experience in a humanitarian/development project or set upShould have experience working with persons with disability and community initiativesGood report writing and presentation skillsGood communication, interpersonal and project management skills.Computer literate with knowledge of Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Internet.Experience with International NGO is an added advantage.People management skills.Have the capacity to network and partner with other organizations.If you feel you are the right candidate for this position, kindly send your application along with an up-to-date CV(including 3 referees and their current contacts and email addresses) by email to : recruit06@handicapinternational.or.ke so as to reach on or before 28th October, 2010 5.00pm.
