Digby Morris' client is a family owned business with diversified interests in banking, agriculture and real estate development.
The company is currently involved in an ambitious development programme of affordable housing, high end residential and also the refurbishment up its own retail banking premises in and around the capital of Nairobi. The portfolio is in the region of $60m and at various stages of development with significant new schemes penned as part of a significant 5 year plan. As a consequence the company have taken the decision to appoint their own internal project manager to work with the directors of the company and establish an in house project management department.
The role would suit a young and ambitious individual with a desire to spread their wings in a challenging international environment. Ideally 5-10 years professional experience gained with a developer but would also cosnider mixture of contractors or consultancies. Candidates should be prepared for the challenges of working in a demanding environment in a multinational company. Previous experience overseas ideally in Africa would be highly advantageous.
Salary is likely to be in the ballpark of £55-65k per annum inclusive of allowances for transportation but in addition to flights & medical with a performance bonus.
