Co-ordinate routine livestock management practices e.g. Milking, dehorning and so onEnsure that all animals (cattle, sheep, goats, rabbits, chicken and pigs) are fed properly dailyEnsure that the animal units are cleaned on a daily basisUpdate records for animals and tools/ equipments of the farm on a daily basisClosely observe animals for early identification of any anomalies and take appropriate actionOrganize practicals for students as required by LecturersCarry out any other duties in the farm as directed by the farm managementFor those applying for teaching positions above Tutorial Fellow they will be employed on permanent and pensionable terms.
The terms of service for non teaching positions include a generous medical scheme, house allowance and commuting allowance. Successful candidates will be offered two (2) year renewable performance - based contract and gratuity will be paid at the end of the contract.
