Key Responsibilities:
Devise optimal merchandise plan.Using the merchandise plan to decide on what products to purchase and from which suppliers, at what price all which reflect the market.Working closely with sales staff, branch heads and regional managers to decide how goods should be displayed to maximize customer interest and sales.Forecasting profits and sales, and optimizing the sales volume and profitability of products.Coordinate quality checks and together with IT make data entry on new arrivals, both local and imported products to ensure consistency.Organize for promotional activities for front shop items on a fortnightly basis especially for new arrivals and new products.Coming up with ideas for innovative ways of ensuring customer service is delivered and measurable to be of high quality.Be up to date on trends in retail industry by reading print media articles, internet, continuous sampling and visiting local and international retail fairs.Must have a bachelors degree in business or commerce.Must have a minimum of 3 years’ experience in the retail industry.Good Windows, Excel, Word and Outlook skills.Good spoken and written English.Must have a valid Driving License.Independent, reliable and enthusiastic.Goals and results oriented.Good communicator and presenter.Strong negotiating skills.Team player.Committed with highest standards of personal integrity.Education: Bachelors degreeJob Type: Permanent
