Job Summary: The CEO is responsible for directing, promoting, and coordinating the operations of the Company in a manner that will optimize its market share and profits, improve efficiency, and help achieve its mission and goals.
The CEO oversees the aggressive and successful growth of the company through a respectful, constructive and energetic style.
The CEO provides the leadership, management, and vision necessary to ensure that the company has the proper operational controls, administrative and reporting procedures, and people systems in place to effectively grow the company and to ensure financial strength and operating efficiency.
Duties and Responsibilities:
- Supports the company’s stated Vision, Mission, and Business Values.
- Projects a positive attitude to customers and employees at all times.
- Provides outstanding and courteous customer service.
- Provide day-to-day leadership and management to the company that mirrors the adopted mission and core values of the company.
- Collaborates with the management team to develop and implement plans for the operational infrastructure of systems, processes, and personnel designed to accommodate the growth objectives of the company.
- Establishes current and long range goals, strategies, objectives, plans, and policies, subject to approval by the Board of Directors.
- Develops operating and governance policies for the company with the Board of Directors.
- Dispenses advice, guidance, direction, and authorization to carry out major plans, standards and procedures, consistent with established policies and Board approval.
- Advises the Board of Directors of business opportunities or special projects.
- Oversees the adequacy and soundness of the company’s financial structure.
- Reviews operating results of the company, compares them to established objectives, and takes steps to ensure that appropriate measures are taken to correct unsatisfactory results.
- Responsible for the preparing and submitting of an annual operating and fixed asset budget to the Board of Directors.
- Seeks new products and services that will bring customers additional benefits while enhancing the profitability of the company.
- Represents the organization with major customers, shareholders, business partners, the financial community, and the public.
- Oversee and provide input all requirements that fall into pre, post and harvest execution
- Provide input in the budget process, and monitor and execute tasks within the parameters of the budget
- Analyzing financial and operational performance of existing projects by comparing plans and forecasts with actual results
- Providing support to management by assembling and summarizing data, preparing reports and making presentations of findings, analyses and recommendations.
- Market intelligence gathering, due diligence and financial modeling for business development
- Drive, monitor and provide commercial support for business development projects including determining market entry strategies, economics and attractiveness, supporting due diligence and developing robust financial plans.
- Monitor and report on on-going project and operational performance including conducting root cause and variance analysis.
- Developing and preparing financial and operational KPI reporting.
- Lead and drive key strategic projects and complete associated problem solving and analytical analysis.
Qualifications, Education and/or Experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Management, Finance, Economics or a closely related discipline preferred.
- A minimum of 5 years’ experience in managing a significant business unit.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, financial reports, and legal documents.
- Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community.
- Strong commercial acumen to quickly understand the drivers of profitability and areas of focus for the organization.
