Bayer East Africa Development Manager Job in Kenya

To maximise our commitment to efficient service delivery, we seek to recruit a qualified and result oriented individual to fill the following position:-

Development Manager

Ref No. 2015/HR/BCS-008

Reporting to the Head of Regulatory and Development, the Development Manager will be charged with the responsibility of coordinating product development activities in the East Africa region.
 

 

Major Tasks of the Position

• Interface with the crop teams in developing the list of development projects, evaluating and prioritization, and identifying viable projects.


• Allocation and overall coordination of field development activities.


• Implementation and management of a group of projects as a personal responsibility


• Develop trial protocols for the products to be developed.


• Collation of trial reports from the various collaborators for analysis to determine if the products can be registered.


• Provide regular update on the progress of product development and registration to the crop teams for the purpose of planning of commercial activities.


• Participation in product stewardship endeavours

Who You Are

• Holder of a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture/Horticulture


• MSc. in a crop protection related discipline (plant pathology, entomology, weed science, etc.).


• Strong knowledge in trial design, data analysis and scientific reporting.


• At least four years’ experience in field trials, spread within public and private Institutions.


• Fluent in English (oral and written). Basic Knowledge of French will be an added advantage.


• Strong communication skills (oral, written and presentation).


• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to interact positively with various collaborators (in public and private institutions) and peers in other departments internally.


• Basic knowledge of the regulatory procedures in pesticide trade.
