Jacaranda Health is a social venture that aims to set a new standard for maternity care in East Africa.
We are combining business and clinical innovations to provide affordable maternity and reproductive health services to low-income urban women.
As it builds a network of maternity hospitals, Jacaranda Health launched one clinic in Nairobi in 2012, a second in 2014, and one more is in process in the region.
We are seeking to hire part time Quality Improvement Coordinator.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Drive process management and improvement activities focusing on safety, satisfaction and efficiency – working across Jacaranda’s clinical, operational and business processes.
- Serve as a champion of patient safety and hospital quality; pursuing understanding of the patient needs and the challenges unit and arena staff face in fulfilling assigned roles.
- Provide leadership, training, and decision-making support to managers and clinical staff on continuous performance measurement and quality improvement activities.
- Track and interpret key data to drive a continuous improvement culture.
- Train hospital-level quality champions (usually nurses) in performance and quality improvement, lean/six sigma methodology
Requirements:
- Educated to Degree level in business, nursing or statistics with experience/qualification in continuous improvement – Lean Six Sigma Green Belt or Black Belt.
- Three years of applicable quality improvement experience, preferably (but not necessarily) in a healthcare setting.
- Experience with quality processes, tools and methodologies (Root Cause Analysis, FMEA, Lean, Six Sigma, etc.), Utilization Management, and/or Risk Management principles and practices.
