RTI Regional HR Manager and Senior Regional IT Specialist Jobs in Kenya

Regional Human Resources Manager



This position will be located in the Regional Office in Kenya or within the East African countries and will support projects based in the region.
 


 


The Regional HR Manager is responsible for the implementation of HR strategies, effective delivery of HR services and management; interpretation and application of HR policies; rules and regulations; facilitation of internal procedures and process solutions to a wide spectrum of complex HR issues. 



He / She promotes a collaborative, client-oriented approach and contributes to the maintenance of high staff morale. 



He/she is to support formulation of solid HR strategies for Africa Region and supports the implementation of project human resources initiatives to attract, develop, motivate and retain the most suitable talent throughout the projects and facilitate successful performance management.




Qualifications 


  • Applicants will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree plus ten (10) years of related experience; 

  • Master’s degree in Human Resources or a related discipline. 

  • Working knowledge of and experience in international and regional HR. 

  • Working knowledge of and experience in local labor and employment laws and legal resources.

  • Familiarity with international development systems and policies. 

  • High degree of professionalism and discretion; culturally astute.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a multitasking environment. 

  • This position does not attract international allowances.


Senior Regional Information Technology Specialist
 



The IT Specialist will perform IT related duties in support of the Kenya Youth Workforce Project (KYWP) team with His/her support will be required within the Nairobi Office with assistance given to the field offices across the country.




She/he will be responsible for Supporting PCs (Windows 7/ Microsoft Office 2013) and windows 2008 server ensuring proper maintenance and backups. Setting up, maintaining, and supporting the IT and network infrastructure including additional project offices. 



Assist with technical specifications, budget, and forecast the IT requirements for the offices and coordinate the procurement for the same, maintain proper inventory of IT equipment for the project offices



Provide first tier support and end user training on Hardware and Software usage, perform user acceptance testing and deployment support.




Qualifications: 


  • Applicants will possess a minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science degree and 3 years of relevant experience or any other related certification and 6 years of relevant experience in IT support. 

  • Those with User Training experience highly desired. 

  • Ability to follow instructions and work autonomously. 

  • Ability to troubleshoot common hardware, software and network issues, attention to detail. 

  • Familiarity with international development systems and policies. 

  • High degree of professionalism and discretion; culturally astute. 

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills with ability to be flexible and work well under pressure in a multi-tasking environment.
