Suraya Property Group Limited, one of the leading and fast growing Real
Estate Development Companies in Kenya is undertaking and plans to
undertake major development projects ranging from master planning,
scheme design, detail design, supervision, services designs and other
construction related activities in projects spread in a number of
Counties and Cities in Kenya.
Suraya is searching for
qualified professional individuals in various fields of training to
manage both the ongoing and future projects to be involved in the
planning and implementation processes for effective and efficient
delivery to the esteemed customers.
In order for the
above objectives in development to be realized, Suraya is encouraging

interest for the positions listed below for consideration:
Human Resources Manager
Duties and responsibilities:
- Formulation and implementation of Human Resources Policies, strategies and evaluating their effectiveness.
- Advising senior staff on areas of recruitment, transfers, pay, pension schemes
- Administering and processing of the payroll and Human Resources database
- Advising on organizational and Human Resources planning issues and other matters, including staff career development , employee relations and disciplinary matters
- Ensuring effective staff recruitment
- Providing advice on strategies regarding staff training, welfare and development
- Developing and ensuring implementation of reward systems, remuneration policies and strategies
- Developing and ensuring effectiveness of performance Management systems
- Reviewing organizational structures and analyze workload from time to time
- Provide employees counseling services,
- Representing the Company in labour disputes
Qualifications:
- A degree from a recognized University in Human Resources Management
- MBA in Human Resources Management will be an added advantage
- Higher Diploma in Human Resource Management
- A member of Institute Of Human Resource Management (IHRM K)
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in Human Resource Management in a busy organization, with at least 5years in a senior management position.
- Well versed in the use of computers both as a working and reporting tool
- Proven supervision, communication, problem solving and reporting skills.
- Excellent command of written and verbal English
Skills & Competencies:
- Demonstrate good understanding of Human resource regulations and good practices
- Experienced in Employee Relations and dealing with disputes
- Has an excellent knowledge and understanding of local labour laws
- Ability to work effectively with minimal amount of specific direction and guidance
- Strong communication, organizational, record keeping and interpersonal skills
- A self-starting, effective problem solver and influencer
- Ability to think ahead, identify new opportunities and create new and innovative approaches to work related issues in line with Corporate HR agendas
- A team player with excellent interpersonal skills and a collaborative management style
- A demonstrated commitment to high professional ethical standards in a diverse workplace
Relevant Experience:
- Experienced in Performance Management
- Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization
- Experience in administration of statutory deductions
- Knowledge of using HR Information Systems essential.
- Excellent working knowledge of Microsoft office
- Excellent numerical and literary skills in English
