Training Manager
Purpose of the job: Improve performance efficiencies across the organisation by providing need-based training in technical, managerial, and soft-skills and improving employee motivation levels.
Span of responsibility: All units and corporate office
Job Description
- Training needs assessment using multiple sources of TNA
- Prepare annual training plan
- Prepare training budget
- In-house technical, managerial, and soft-skills training
- Design training programmes
- Arrange faculty for in-house training
- Organise training as per the approved calendar
- Regular training evaluation and faculty evaluation
- Develop in-house trainers
- External training programmes
- Identify good training facilities suited to MeTL needs and requirement
- Prepare quarterly nomination plan
- Send participants for training
- Maintain documentation – nominations, employee bonds etc.
- Evaluation of training institutes and training programmes
- Organise participants’ knowledge sharing with colleagues
- Track training usefulness
- Conduct soft-skills and Train-the-Trainer programmes
- Organise and participate in employees’ performance reviews with supervising officers
- Organise talk sessions and syndicates for senior and middle-level managers
- Employee engagement events
- Manage company’s training facilities
Deliverables
- Annual training plan
- Training budget
- Conduct two soft-skills programmes every month
- Conduct one Train-the-trainer programme every quarter
- One in-house training programme by external or internal faculty every two months in each unit
- Team of at least 12 in-house trainers for technical skills training
- One major employee engagement event every two months
Person profile
- MBA with specialisation in HR
- Very good exposure to attitudinal training
- Empathetic attitude
- Ability to get along with people
- Excellent skills for effective communication
- Sound knowledge of management concepts
- Agility, mobility, and very quick response time
