Training Manager Job in Tanzania




Training Manager
 



Purpose of the job: Improve performance efficiencies across the organisation by providing need-based training in technical, managerial, and soft-skills and improving employee motivation levels.
 



Span of responsibility: All units and corporate office
 



Job Description


  • Training needs assessment using multiple sources of TNA

  1. Performance reviews;

  2. Continuous dialogue with line managers; and

  3. Calibre inventory

  • Prepare annual training plan

  • Prepare training budget

  • In-house technical, managerial, and soft-skills training

  1. Design training programmes

  2. Arrange faculty for in-house training

  3. Organise training as per the approved calendar

  4. Regular training evaluation and faculty evaluation

  5. Develop in-house trainers

  • External training programmes

  1. Identify good training facilities suited to MeTL needs and requirement

  2. Prepare quarterly nomination plan

  3. Send participants for training

  4. Maintain documentation – nominations, employee bonds etc.

  5. Evaluation of training institutes and training programmes

  6. Organise participants’ knowledge sharing with colleagues

  7. Track training usefulness

  • Conduct soft-skills and Train-the-Trainer programmes

  • Organise and participate in employees’ performance reviews with supervising officers

  • Organise talk sessions and syndicates for senior and middle-level managers

  • Employee engagement events

  • Manage company’s training facilities


Deliverables


  • Annual training plan

  • Training budget

  • Conduct two soft-skills programmes every month

  • Conduct one Train-the-trainer programme every quarter

  • One in-house training programme by external or internal faculty every two months in each unit

  • Team of at least 12 in-house trainers for technical skills training

  • One major employee engagement event every two months


Person profile


  • MBA with specialisation in HR

  • Very good exposure to attitudinal training

  • Empathetic attitude

  • Ability to get along with people

  • Excellent skills for effective communication

  • Sound knowledge of management concepts

  • Agility, mobility, and very quick response time
