Systemair is looking for a Sales Manager to play an active part in growing and developing the local business in Eastern Africa.
This will primarily be through frequent contact and visits with current and potential customers in order to generate sales for the company.
Key Roles and Responsibilities
- Head the regional office from the base in Nairobi
- Organise visits of active customers and prospective customers
- Promoting Systemair’s products
- Structuring the distributor network
- Developing the commercial system and building relationships with consultants in construction and engineering
- Receiving and managing inquiries from consultants/ agents
- Organising visits to educate consultants on the benefits of Systemair’s products
- Target and market Systemair’s products to commercial establishments i.e. hospitals, shopping malls, hotels, ports, airports
Desired Skills and Experience
- Business environment: Knowledge of the Business environment and culture in Eastern Africa
- Knowledge of customers: Ability to understand needs and requirements of the end-users
- Knowledge of the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning) industry in the region
- Relationship building: Ability to create and grow relationships with consultants and potential distributors of Systemair’s products
- Strong background in Business development
- Marketing: Ability to promote Systemair’s products and brands
- Advanced technical understanding combined with a commercial mindset
Experience
- 5 – 10 years’ experience working in the HVAC (Heating, Ventilation and Air conditioning) industry
Education: University degree in Civil Engineering or related
Other
- Good attitude – independent, high integrity, driven
- Aged between 30-35 years
- Fluent in English and Kiswahili, preferably also French
- Ability to travel regionally and abroad
- Computer knowledge
- Driver’s license
