Duma Works is recruiting for a Procurement Officer job for Benham International; a leading supplier of bakery, kitchen and laundry quality equipment in the Eastern Africa region

Roles and Responsibilities

• Getting goods and services for the best price and value


• Cutting any waste and unnecessary costs to create a streamlined process and fast delivery times.


• Working with suppliers to ensure that key processes are running efficiently and cost-effectively.


• Building strong working relationships both internally and with key suppliers.


• Understanding and keeping up with new trends and regulations in the business.


• Dealing with international suppliers and local purchases on a daily basis.


• Setting up accounts with local suppliers.


• Understanding technology and managing computer systems such as Tally,Excel etc


• Develop,hone and execute new improved procurement strategies across all channels of procurement.


• Perform cost analysis and set appropriate benchmarks.

Requirements

• At least 2 years experience in a similar role.


• At least a diploma in procurement or a related field.


• Very good knowledge and experience of importation documents and systems for East Africa.


• Should have the ability to work independently and in teams.


• Good knowledge of Tally.
