Internship Opportunity
FID, Kenya is a new Non-Profit Community Development Organization devoted to improving lives in transformative ways by advancing incorporated, locally driven solutions.
We implement gender-focused, poverty graduation programs that help women, men and the youth graduate from extreme poverty within a period of two years in Homa-Bay County.
We offer the following services;
- Training and mentorship on entrepreneurship.
- Linking beneficiaries with Financial Institutions.
- Offering support on financial resource mobilization.
- Marketing member products.
- Providing financial aid to youth groups.
- Offering ‘interest-free’ loans to women and Youth groups.
- Nurturing young talents.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Work with the Program teams to actualize planned activities.
- Schedule events and conduct trainings.
- Work with respective departments to develop a realistic timeline for program delivery.
- Follow work plans, schedules and timelines to ensure timely completion of activities.
- Document and record multiple program activities.
Qualifications: Applicants are required to express interest in the field of community development, Agriculture, Economics, Entrepreneurship, Rural development, Social work or Gender & Development.
Applicants should have at least a diploma in any of the above fields.
Ability to speak the local language will be an added advantage.
Remuneration: We give a monthly stipend of KES 34,600.
