Job Purpose
The Film Development Officers are responsible for spearheading capacity development and developing incentives to enhance the growth of the film industry.
The officer will be reporting to Principal Certification and Accreditation Officer and will be responsible for:
- Receiving and documenting Certification and Accreditation documents;
- Maintaining a data base of certified persons, associations and organizations participating in the production of film, photography, video, stills, animation, new media and related media;
- Taking part in the implementation of certification and accreditation programmes aimed at organizing the film industry;
- Preparing research tools; and
- Collecting and collating data on customers and suppliers on activities impacting/affecting film production issues.
Person Specifications
For appointment to this grade, an officer must have:-
- Bachelor’s degree in any of the following fields:– Film and Theatre Arts, Film Production, Drama and Theatres Studies, Performing Arts and Film Technology, Communication, Business Administration orm equivalent qualification from a recognized institution;
- Proficiency in Computer applications; and
- Met the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution.
