Assistant Divisional Head


Reporting to the Executive Director; the job holder will be based in Kampala, Uganda. The candidate will be responsible for managing and supervising the team in the Division, heavy involvement in business development and client service.Responsible for the overall leadership of the DivisionClient ManagementNew Business DevelopmentOversee managerial, operational and technical dutiesResponsible for the implementation of the strategic business planEnsure compliance with government policy and regulatory guidelines and directives

Reporting to the Assistant Divisional Head; the job holder will be based in Nairobi, Kenya. The candidate will be responsible for spearheading the Life & Pensions Administration arm of the business, while focusing on client service, business growth and maintaining the existing client portfolio.Monitor and improve operations to ensure maximum efficiency and exemplary client service in Benefits Administration and Client ServicesAdminister pension schemes in accordance with the RBA and KRA regulations and ensure complianceMaintain existing schemes portfolio and foster business relationship with all stakeholdersSupervise, train and mentor staff in technical aspects of the businessAssist the team in credit controlEnsure that clients issues are handled expeditiously and with courtesyUniversity Degree in Business Related StudiesProfessional qualification in Life/Pension Management will be an added advantageMust have a minimum of 6 years relevant working experience at least 3 in management levelMust have knowledge of legislation governing retirement benefits and insurance in the East African regionSolid knowledge of pension schemes administration with a thorough understanding of administration of both Defined Benefits and Defined Contribution SchemesDemonstrate leadership, managerial, organisational and administrative skillsIf you are a result oriented individual, looking for a challenging career in insurance and meet the above requirements please follow the application procedure below:

Provision of pension information and advice to members and dependants with regard to the rules and regulations of MURBS.Development and maintenance of sound procedures for prompt and proper payment of benefits to members and dependantsEnsuring compliance with statutory requirements in respect to member benefits and informationReconciliation of contributions and membership dataQualifications, Experience and Skills
Degree in Actuarial Science, Bachelor of Commerce (Insurance), possession of a Masters degree in the related field will be an added advantage,
at least three (3) years experience in retirement benefits administration,
experience in use of fundmaster system will be an added advantage.

Liaising with the service providers of electricity, lift, generator, sewerage and water services.Ensuring safety, cleanliness and hygiene within the buildingAdvising on possible risk within he environReporting to the Pension Manager on all issues relating to MURBS building.Qualifications, Experience and Skills
A diploma in electrical engineering, building and construction or a related field,
minimum of 1 year experience in caretaking or clerk of works in a busy environment,
