Request for Proposal for Statutory Audit for the Year Ending 30th June 2014

Our firm is in the Retail Industry with 24 units and a turnover of over Kshs. 3bn. 

We are seeking to invite proposals from qualified Audit Firms, who are members of ICPAK and eligible to undertake a statutory audit in accordance to the Kenya legal framework. The selected firm will conduct the statutory audit of the Organization’s books of accounts, financial transactions and statements.
Interested eligible firms are requested to submit their profiles, financial proposals detailing all costs including taxes, transport, accommodation, audit materials to form a consolidated audit fee.

The audit is expected to commence from August 15th 2014, completed within four weeks and a report submitted to the Board of Management by 30th October 2014.
Terms of payment will be 100% on successful completion of the audit.
The audit firm must meet the following conditions:
a. Give a list of clients it is currently auditing
c. Be ready to allow for site visitations to their offices to ascertain the information given.
The proposals should be submitted in a sealed envelope clearly marked PROPOSAL FOR STATUTORY AUDIT 2014 and addressed to the MANAGING DIRECTOR, P. O. BOX 42015 - 00100, NAIROBI so as to be received on or before 9th May 2014 at 10:00 Hrs.

Essential Responsibilities: Collaboration with the project manager on the project management, execution of project planning, project updates and progress tracking to ensure deliverables are delivered on time and on budget. Create country specific project plans in MS Project based on local holidays, team schedules, and jurisdictional regulatory filing dates. Maintenance and updates of the project plans. Provide solid organizational skills to effectively prioritize activities within multiple projects to ensure all activities are delivered on time. Prepare and maintain the agendas for the operational pulsing meetings. Manage the content on the project library and management of the issue tracker to ensure proper visibility. In collaboration with the project manager, coordinate and implement the operating rhythm for all pulsing calls. Utilize strong written and oral communication skills to effectively convey complex topics in a clear and concise manner. This will include but not be limited to summarizing operational pulsing meetings, preparation of content for the regional leadership meeting, and materials for monthly newsletter. Partner with other core project team members to track the progress of delivery of the baseline pack elements, STIR progress, issue tracker status, and GRT open issues. In collaboration with the project team coordinate a post mortem review session after the first wave of country filings. Assist in driving the follow-up on any action items from the session.
