ACCOUNTANT JOB
Reports to: General Manager with a dotted line to the Managing Director.

Location of job: Chuka, Meru

Purpose of Accountant job: To ensure the overall integrity and accuracy of the General Ledger as a basis for the preparation of financial and management reports, all entries are recorded in the general ledger, reconciliation of general ledger accounts and preparation of financial reports.

Key result areas for The Accountant:
Preparation and review of monthly general ledger reconciliations
Daily review and clearance of all suspense accounts and reconciliation of customer, VAT and WHT control accounts
Maintenance and reconciliation of the fixed asset registers.
Calculating monthly depreciation and journal preparation.
Preparing summary fixed asset reports.
Opening of Credit Accounts
Review of ALL customer accounts daily.
Preparation of and Posting of journals on the system e.g. Depreciation, Prepayment amortization, Fixed Asset Register
Preparation of requisite schedules for the annual audit
Provision of Technical Advice and Accounting support to other Functional Units
Sign-off jointly with the General Manager the end of day report of: Cash received, Cash in Safe, Cash Banked, Stocks Sold and Stocks Held at end of day.

Qualification and Skill Requirements:
A bachelor degree in a relevant area from a recognized Kenyan university
Additional Professional accounting qualifications
Excellent analytical and report writing skills and keenness to detail.
Dynamic self-starter with a personal ambition to succeed.
A person with high integrity.
Excellent computer skills particularly in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access, Power Point.

STOCK CONTROLLER JOB

Reports to: General Manager with a dotted line to the Managing Director.

Location of job: Chuka, Meru Kenya

Purpose of Store Keeper job: To receive and safely store merchandise and issue these items from the stockroom when they are needed. In addition, to keep track of the number of items in storage and reorder items that are in short supply.

Key result areas for the Store Keeper:

Preparation of purchasing orders
Receiving deliveries
Reconciling delivery notes with purchase orders
Recording serial numbers where applicable
Organizing stock in the store
Monthly stock take and reconciliation of stock
Arranging returns with manufactures and suppliers

Key Qualification and Skill Requirements For Store Keeper:

A bachelor degree in a relevant area from a recognized Kenyan university
Excellent analytical and report writing skills and keenness to detail.
Dynamic self-starter with a personal ambition to succeed.
High level of integrity.
Excellent computer skills particularly in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access, Power Point.

TELLERS JOB.

Reports to: General Manager

Location of job: Chuka, Meru

Purpose of the teller job: Accurately and efficiently process and record routine transactions for company customers including scanning the bar code / entering the price of merchandise into cash register, totaling the sale and accepting payment for the goods.

Key result areas for the teller:

receive and count working cash at beginning of shift
receiving payments for goods and recording the transactions
providing a receipt to the customer to show details of the purchase
record all transactions promptly, accurately and in compliance with company procedures
balance currency, cash and checks in cash drawer at end of each shift
explain, advise on and promote company products and services to customers

Qualification and Skill Requirements expected of the Teller:

Kenyan CPA Part II or its equivalent
Excellent computer skills particularly in MS Word, MS Excel and MS Access, Power Point
Excellent customer service skills
Dynamic self-starter with a personal ambition to succeed.
A person with high integrity.
