Internal Auditor Job Opening Kenya

Job Summary
Reporting to the Risk Management Committee of the Board and Chief Finance Officer, the position is responsible for ensuring all management policies, procedures and internal controls are adequate and working effectively.

Key Tasks
Develop and implement an internal auditing program and operational system.
Establish adherence to internal and regulatory policies in all areas of the organizations activities.
Review and check whether accounting policies designed are being applied as required.
Review the internal policies and controls systems to ensure compliance.
Ensure compliance with the SACCO Societies Regulatory Authority Regulation.
Ensure that the Society’s Financial Accounting and Reporting is in compliance with the IAS.
Design and execute audit tests in compliance with conventional auditing guidelines.
Carry out audit reviews to assess the effectiveness of risk management and the adequacy of internal controls.
Ensure the Organizations’ policy manuals are strictly adhered to.
Prepare reports on audit findings for sharing with the management team and the board.
Provide workable solutions, guidance on process improvement and best practices.
Follow up audit recommendations to ensure timely implementation and action on corrective measures to mitigate identified risks.
Preparing quarterly internal audit reports.

Requirements
CPA K or ACCA qualification.
At least 2 years working experience in a Micro Finance company preferably in the in Audit/ Accounts Department.
Proficiency of MS office and Accounting package.
