Position Title:Project Manager
Duty Station: Moroto, Uganda

Role
The Project Manager will manage and coordinate the implementation of projects in Moroto..
This will involve: the coordination of partner activities. Provision of both technical and strategic leadership; ensuring efficient project development and management; ensuring that systems and procedures are in line with VSFB policies, VSFB strategy, donor and legal requirements. The Project Manager reports to the Country Director- Uganda.
Main Responsibilities and Duties
Education
University degree in management and /or development related fieldPost graduate training in organizational development, livestock development, community based, participatory approaches, and/or financial management.Expertise in Drought preparedness and contingency planningExperience of working in other countries is an advantageGood knowledge of project cycle managementProven experience of managing partnersExperience with proposal writingVery good knowledge of ECHO rules and regulationsExperience with managing budgetsExcellent management, planning, organizational and coordination skillsProven ability to work with a range of stakeholders including civil authorities, donors and project partnersExcellent Financial and budgeting skillsComputer literacy with very good MS Excel, Word and Power pointStrong interpersonal and communication skillsGood writing and reporting skillsAbility to work independently, under pressure and meet strict deadlinesAccuracyAbility to deal with conflict and crisesFluency in written and spoken EnglishAbility to manage and motive a (multicultural) teamAbility to prepare and present issues at all levelsTeam playerAttentive to detail and result orientedHigh integrity and initiativeIdentify him/herself with the mission, vision and values of VSF-BDisplay of intercultural sensitivity, respect in dealing with othersWillingness to travel to the field and remote locations.Please send your application (reference “Project Manager”), CV and 3 references (one must be your current employer), by e-mail to recruitment@vsfb.or.ke on or before 15th March 2012
