Micro Finance Institution Branch Manager Job in Nairobi, Kenya

Our Client is a fast growing Micro Finance Institution seeking to recruit a Branch manager to be based in the Nairobi.

Reporting to the Head of Sales, the Branch Manager will be responsible for the following:

Main Responsibilities:

• Provide overall management and supervision of the branch activities including credit and risk management to ensure that the branch delivers reliable, quality and timely services to clients in a cost effective manner in a secure, controlled environment whilst ensuring maximum outreach, sustainability and transformation


• Participates in the annual operations planning process by setting branch level targets.


• Train, educate, communicate and advice Loan Officers and all branch staff to ensure high level of product knowledge, standard application of product and sound lending, debt collection and risk management systems, policies and procedures.


• Coordinates the branch staff to ensure achievement of financial sustainability, market coverage, client outreach, loan portfolio quality and profitability.


• Push branch towards profitability through cost controls, maximizing sales generation and marketing and selling efforts.


• Any other duties as may be assigned by the Regional Relationship Officer.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Bachelors degree in business related subject from a reputable university or college


• Has the ability to manage a large portfolio


• Has an outstanding track record in business growth and portfolio management


• Business development, marketing and client relationship building


• Must have held a Branch manager position (preferably in a financial institution)for not less than two years
