Sacco Society Chief Manager Operations, Accounts Managers and Senior Operations Manager Jobs in Kenya




A fast growing medium size country-wide Sacco Society based in Nairobi is seeking to recruit a qualified Kenya Citizens to fill the following positions:-
 



Chief Manager Operations
 



Grade M4
 



1 Position
 



Job Summary: Responsible to the Chief Executive Officer for planning, co-ordination, and guiding departmental heads in implementing the Sacco’s strategic objectives and policies.
 


 


Key Duties and Responsibilities


  • To co-ordinate proper utilization of SACCO Resources including, Personnel, Assets, and Information / Communication & Technology.

  • Ensure proper planning of Sacco activities at departmental level and utilize the plans to develop a master plan for both short and long term activities of the Sacco.

  • To co-ordinate preparation of departmental budgets.

  • Develop and implement innovative ventures that are profitable to the Sacco.

  • To oversee member recruitment activities and review of innovative products and services.

  • Co-ordinate activities of the Sacco and ensure proper targets and standards are set and achieved at every level of operation.

  • To deal with Human Resource and administrative issues in the Sacco.

  • Ensure monitoring and evaluation of the Sacco’s Strategic Management Plan.

  • Any other duties as may be assigned.


Qualifications
 



Direct Appointment
 



Interested candidates with the following qualifications can apply:


  • Bachelor of Commerce (Finance/Banking) OR Bachelor of Business Administration OR B.A Economics, or equivalent

  • Possession CPA III/CPS III.

  • Possession of MBA will be an added advantage.

  • Five years relevant experience at a management level in a Sacco or Financial institution.(Micro-Finance).

  • Computer literacy

  • Minimum age 30 years.


Serving Officers


  • B.Com (Finance/Banking), BBM, B. Economics and CPA III (K)

  • 3 years experience at a Senior Management Level.

  • Computer Literacy.


Accounts Manager II
 



Grade M10
 



1 Position
 



Job Summary: Responsible to the Deputy Chief Executive Officer-Finance for management of accounts, reconciliation and members personal accounts.
 



Key Duties and Responsibilities


  • To prepare and manage the production of the Annual Reports and final Accounts and the associated supporting evidence and reconciliations.

  • Production of statutory based set of management accounts, including balance sheet on monthly basis, using the information to produce monthly management accounts.

  • To develop long-range forecasts and maintain long range financial plans.

  • To develop, maintain and monitor all fund raising and accounting systems and procedures capturing all pledges, billings, and receipts and for the recording of all revenue transactions, recommend and implement improvements in the systems.

  • To prepare annual audit and be a liaison with all outside vendors.

  • To produce as required any Ad-hoc reports required by management.

  • Provide training, guidance and support to the accounting team.

  • Any other duties as may be assigned.


Requirements for Appointment
 



Direct Appointment


  • Possession of B.Com (Accounting & Finance) option with CPA (K). Possession of MBA an added advantage.

  • Relevant work experience 5 years in a Sacco/ Financial environment.

  • Computer literate.

  • Age 30 years.

  • Membership of relevant professional body.


Serving Officers


  • Possession of B.Com (Accounting & Finance) option with CPA (K).

  • Must have served in Accounts/Finance for a period of 3 years in a Senior Management position.

  • Computer literacy.


Accounts Manager IV
 



Grade M13
 



1 Position
 



Job Summary: Responsible to the Account Manager II for management of accounts, reconciliation, balance sheet and revenue collection.




Key Duties and Responsibilities


  • Review the Accounting System.

  • Design accounting programmes and review as per the policy.

  • Supervision of revenue collection (Central Remittance).

  • Review and control of income and expenditure account.

  • Preparation of budgets and review against targets.

  • Reconciliation of bank, member’s personal accounts and other accounts.

  • Any other duties.


Requirements
 



Direct Appointments


  • Possession of B.Com (Accounting / Finance) and CPA II.

  • 5 years experience.

  • Computer literacy.

  • Age 27 years.


Serving Officers


  • Possession of CPA II

  • Possession of B. Com, an added advantage.

  • 3 years working experience.


Senior Manager II Operations
 



Grade M7
 



1 Position
 



Job Summary: Responsible to the Chief Manager Operations to drive sales, profitability and gross margin growth.




Key Duties and Responsibilities


  • Responsible to drive the Sacco Sales and profit plans.

  • To manage the Sacco business effectively and developing specific actions towards business development and growth.

  • To lead and direct the development of different business sector sales teams and ensure results and growth.

  • To build capacity of staff to ensure they are current with the product knowledge, product use and related market mix.

  • To ensure that business trends of under-performance are formally addressed with clear and documented plans.

  • To identify and convert opportunities to develop new business, create new market segments and acquisition.

  • Any other duties as may be assigned.


Requirements
 



Direct Appointment


  • B.Com (Marketing / Management), B. Economics, BBM or equivalent.

  • Possession of MBA an added advantage.

  • Possession of CPA (K).

  • Active member of relevant professional body.

  • 5 years working experience.

  • Age 30 years.
