Finance Controller – Ugandan National
 

A Global Merchandiser of commodities and processor of agricultural goods, based in Nairobi is seeking to recruit a Finance Controller in Uganda. 

The successful candidate MUST have a background in financial controlling and auditing.

Key Responsibilities;

• Stock management and Payroll and petty cash handling.


• Tax matters (clearing, VAT, Income Tax, Transfer pricing)


• Key contact for internal / external auditors.


• Improving accounting processes / liaising with finance team in Mombasa.


• Documenting procedures and maintain a strong internal control environment.


• Controlling trading position and handling service agreements with third parties.


• Credit and compliance management.


• Cash flow management including FX.


• Supervision of one administration officer.


• Preparation of budget reforecast and variance analysis.


• Ad-hoc projects: Investments, development of new software for stock management

Qualifications;

• MUST have 3 years and above in finance auditing.


• MUST have 2 years and above in finance controlling.


• MUST have a Bachelors Degree in Finance or related field.


• MUST be a Certified Public Accountant.


• A master’s degree will be an added advantage.


• Experience in the Big Four Audit companies would be an added advantage.


• MUST have a minimum of 2 years in senior management.


• Ability to work under minimum supervision.


• Good written and spoken English.

Monthly Gross Salary: UGX 5,800,000 /= (Approx. 1700 USD)
