Head of Quality Assurance

 
Main Purpose of the Job: Implementing, maintaining and controlling systems which monitor and assess the quality of products and materials in all stages of design, production to delivery and subsequent use in line with local, international and best practice standards.
 

 

Main Responsibilities

• Design policy, processes and procedures for Quality Assurance


• Implementing quality assurance business strategy and ensuring quality assurance Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) are in place


• Setting standards and ensuring application of agreed quality assurance procedures, in liaison with production unit, to ensure high product conformity


• To oversee the related quality requirements in product packaging, storage and handling


• Leading and managing quality assurance internal audit & ensuring emerging matters are addressed successfully


• Taking care of budgets, staff and initiating best standards for continuous improvement


• Overall in charge of all supervision of online Quality Assurance


• Coordinate and liaise with suppliers, customers and other statutory bodies including outsourced laboratories on all quality matters.   


• Strictly ensure FIFO is practiced on both raw materials and finished products


• Preparing  and presenting recommendations  of periodic  reports in line with KPIs and reporting schedule


• Identifying, implementing and benchmarking best practices in management


• Implementing change initiatives to achieve desired business plans and culture

Qualifications

• Diploma in Food Technology from a reputable institution.


• BSc. in Food Technology or equivalent is an added advantage


• 5 years’ experience in a manufacturing company


• Must have FMCG experience
