At Virtual HR Services Kenya, our commitment is to provide high end human resource consulting services.Our client in the insurance industry is seeking to recruit a highly talented and dynamic professional to fill in the following position based in Nairobi.

MARKETING EXECUTIVE

The Marketing Executive will be involved in marketing and sales strategies in order to ensure that the company achieves its corporate goals in terms of growth (Sales Targets), profitability and customer services. Based at our Head Office, the incumbent reports to the Marketing Manager.

Key Responsibilities

• Clearly understand sales targets set and drive the achievement of annual, quarterly and monthly production budgets.


• Identify, develop and evaluate the marketing strategy, based on the knowledge of the company’s objectives, market characteristics, operational costs and mark up factors.


• Ensure Products cross-selling takes place in new and existing business.


• Plan and execute exciting and innovative sales tactics.


• Assist in the coordination of marketing activities and policies to promote products.


• Adhere to regulatory/ compliance and internal procedures.


• Build, maintain and sustain business relationships with all business partners to ensure the smooth running of the distribution channels in delivering targets.


• Identify new marketing initiatives.


• Safeguard the company’s interests and reputation in the line of work.


• Represent the company at industry meetings to promote products and services.


• Attend to clients’ enquiries either through email, telephone calls or referrals.


• Ensure renewal notice letters are sent to clients and advise clients on changes in policies

Requirements/qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a business-related course


• Professional qualification in Insurance or Demonstrate Progress (ACII, CII or IIK)


• 2 years’ experience in the insurance industry


• Excellent knowledge of the Insurance Industry

Desired qualities/skills

• Good knowledge of MS office


• Good organizational and presentation skills


• Demonstrate financial awareness
