She/he will be responsible for developing or upgrading software.
Contribute towards establishing all possible options for designing and deriving the best solutions based on sound analytical judgment, team input and the customers’ best interest.Research new technologies that push the boundaries and capabilities of design and provide insight.Assist in continual improvement of software configuration management process.Contribute towards optimization-focused design to ensure that all code is written with high availability and high-impact.Contribute towards efficiency-focused software that serves to ensure that all code is highly reusable and modular.Develop push and pull data interfaces using the latest web and data sharing technologies.Develop software according to functional and technical design specifications and maintain a “common sense” approach that serves to recognize potential design gaps and provide insight into closing them.Develop patches and defect fixes.Author and maintain required technical design documentation that fully defines all application code and the underlying methodology for the design decisions made.Review code for potential performance issues, re usability, and/or anomalies.Perform unit testing of code.Perform and assist with quality assurance activities as needed.Assess, troubleshoot, document and resolve issues.Research and identify cause of reported defects and issues.Contribute to the improvement of maintenance procedures.Recording of time spent and tasksEscalate any issues identifiedDegree in IT, Computer Science or related fields of study.Exposure to at least 1 back-end programming languages e.g. Java, C, C++, C#, Perl, Python, VB.Net, shell e.t.cExposure to at least 1 presentation languages e.g. ASP, PHP, Ruby, JSP, Android, Objective C e.t.cExposure to Web presentation languages and frameworks e.g. html, CSS, Javascript, ExtJS, Zend, jQuery, Code-ignitor, Yii e.t.cExposure to at least 1 database management systems e.g. MySql, Oracle, Postgresql, SQlite, MS-SQL e.t.cExposure to data and database design standards and processesKnowledge of Office Tools for publishing and presentation preparation.When working at Cellulant*, you can expect to work on a diverse range of problems, with inspiring and creative colleagues. You will have ample opportunities for growth and career development, and we highly value continuous learning.

Job Title: Systems Integration Engineer (2 Positions)

Reporting To: Team Leader Integrations

Job Location: Nairobi

Key Areas of Responsibility

Creates and executes software integration plans Conduct scientific POC like integrations and/or evaluations to establish formal integrations strategies and roadmaps. Participate in the design of general integration strategies and propose/develop specific point integrations within the general framework. Ensure all designs are version-proof as integrated products follow their own roadmaps/life cycles. Working with product management, exercise influence (as much as possible) on 3rd party roadmap evolutions. Required Skills and Competencies

Academic Qualifications:

Advanced Diploma in Computer Science, IT or other related qualifications from a reputable Educational InstitutionDegree qualifications in Computer Science or related field will be an added advantage.3+ years experience in software development, including participation in enterprise-class projectsHands-on working experience with or extensive knowledge of several of the following integration protocols: SOAP-based APIs RESTful or XML-based APIs ISO8583 APIs Sockets Communication APIsSpecific Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
Strong proficiency in Java and one or more scripting languages. A solid understanding of database concepts and experience writing software that utilizes database interaction. Job Title: Implementation Engineer / Senior Implementation Engineer

Reporting To: Team Manager

Job Location: Nairobi
Eligible Nationalities: Kenyans

Key Areas of Responsibility

1. Prepare necessary tools and software so that it can be used for customer site installations.

This includes but not limited to:

Ensure all configurations are built to comply with technical design authority and internal standard requirements. Ensure all facets/modules of the software meet client requirements. All facets of the deployment are built/developed/configured in line with project timescales. Keep project team updated with daily progress reports on any assigned actions. 2. Support the installation of sites during project roll out, this includes but it is not limited to:
Contacting the field engineer at the specified time and ensuring the installation and deployment document is followed. Ensuring all modules and functionalities are tested fully and that failover solution works if applicable. Pass out any faults and manage the escalation to the right team to resolution/fix of faults. Carry out and document all of the site specific testing. Being able to trouble shoot any issues that arise during the deployment whether it be part of the testing or reported by the customer. 3. If needed, liaise with the solution architect in order to resolve issues.

4. Ensure deployment signoff is signed by customer and have authority to leave site post deployment.

5. Provide feedback to your technical team leader/manager on any current processes that you feel could be improved or escalations.

6. Produce all the necessary documentation in order to hand projects over to BAU

7. Ensure time sheets are submitted on daily basis.

8. Provide inputs on error on work packs/template, if any, for improvements.

9. Update/provide daily tracker sheets to team leader

Key Performance Indicators:

Complete implementation tasks within SLA . Complete documentation related to implementation task and do all relevant Quality checks. Participates in process improvement.(internal) Attending project meetings where the project manager/coordinator have requested your presence and inputs(external) - Cellulant customersRequired Skills and Competencies

Academic Qualifications:

Degree qualifications in Computer Science (BE/BTECH)Programming certifications Database management certifications Networking certifications(CCNA)2-5 years working experience in similar role.Strong software development background.Specific Knowledge & Skills Requirements:
