Human Resources for Health (HRH) Kenya is a USAID funded project implemented by IntraHealth International Inc. The goal of the project is to strengthen the human resources for health systems in Kenya at both the national and county levels and ultimately improve health outcomes for the Kenyan people. In order to strengthen its team, HRH project is looking for a suitable candidate to fill the following position.The incumbent will serve as the Sustainable Health workforce (SHW) help desk contact person for all correspondences and/or enquiries.
S/he will ensure proper running and documentation and monitoring of all SHW queries.

Specific Responsibilities

Logging all calls and query emails received from SHW in the logging system.Ensure queries are addressed in line with stipulated turn-around times.Provide first line support by responding to queries via phone or email.Escalate all issues that cannot be resolved at the helpdesk.Update the logging system on a daily basis as queries are addressed and resolved.In liaison with the HR Support Officer, update the SHW information database.A diploma in social sciences or related fieldAt least 2 years relevant experience in busy call centre or helpdeskExperience in Human Resource or customer care will be an added advantageExcellent skills in working with MS Office (excel and word)Good communication and interpersonal skillsAbility to multi-task and handle pressureAnalytical skills when troubleshooting issues How to Apply

The M&E Assistant will provide support to the monitoring and evaluation unit. S/he will work under the overall guidance of the Team Lead, Monitoring & Evaluation to ensure efficient and effective operation of the unit.

The USAID funded FUNZOKenya project aims to improve access to and quality of health workforce training by supporting an increased number of new health workers trained; supporting current health worker training needs; strengthening the capacity of training institutions; and strengthening regulatory bodies to enhance training demand. Working in close partnership with the Ministries of Health, the leading health training institutions in Kenya, and the National Health Training Working Group among others, the project will build responsive, country-led training systems to improve health sector outcomes and the accessibility and quality of health workforce training in Kenya.

Applicants for the Regional hub Manager positions should clearly indicate the Regions where they
are expressing interest. Closing date for applications is November 26, 2012.3 positions(Mombasa/Kilifi , Meru and Eldoret ) - Reporting to the Assistant Director Regional Strategies, the Regional Hub managers will work to sensitize the Health Ministries at the Provincial and District Levels on FunzoKenya project, participate in planning, assessment and review meetings or coordination fora relevant to the implementation of the project activities. The successful candidates will work with training institutions to identify trainees for faculty development, support curriculum review/development and institutional management strengthening processes and liaise with the finance and administrative teams in the Nairobi office to ensure operational efficiency and compliance with processes.
A Master’s Degree in Training, Human Resource Development/management, organizational development, Public health or a related field of study is required, excellent understanding of the Ministries of Health training processes, working with partners in health systems strengthening and at least 8 years work experience in managing a training function in an NGO setup.Reporting to the Finance Contracts and Grants Manager the Grants Officer will
provide Grants, Contracts and Sub-agreements support to the IntraHealth, Kenya offices. His /her primary responsibility is to assist the Finance Contracts & Grants Manager in reviewing and managing the grants financial reporting; and to ensure that grantees financial reports comply with USAID rules and regulations, Standard Provisions of grants agreement, and Intrahealth policies and procedures. S/he will also be expected to conduct field visits and build the capacity of the subawardees in grants management.
A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration and CPA II or its equivalent will be considered. A minimum of three (3) years experience in grants or contracts administration in a busy accounting department is required. Working knowledge of USAID rules and regulations with specific experience in donor funded organizations and excellent skills using QuickBooks, Excel, and Access is required.
