Kijabe Trust Operations Manager Job in Kenya

Kijabe Trust is a non-profit Trust that manages a conservation area for and on behalf of the Kijabe Group Ranch and Regenesis Limited a Tourism investor in the area.

Kijabe Trust currently seeks to hire an Operations Manager to be based in Kijabe Group Ranch, Laikipia. The Operations Manager will be responsible for providing leadership, management and accountability for the activities of the Kijabe Trust.

Key Responsibilities

Manage day-to-day operations of the trustTransact payroll, ensuring compliance with Kenya regulations and timely payment of payroll liabilitiesDevelop a fund raising capacity within the position to ensure that the trust can raise funds independently of individual partners if need beResponsible for all financial management of the trustResponsible for overall management of trust assetsGenerate reports for trustees and interested parties on a regular basis and to the required formatCoordinate regular trust meetingsDevelop and manage the Trust’s relationships within host and neighboring communitiesRequired Qualifications, Skills and Abilities
Diploma in Natural Resources Management, Community Development, Social Sciences, Business Administration or related or a Higher (Bachelor’s degree preferred).At least three years demonstrated experience in a similar roleCPA 1 or equivalent certification preferedGenuine respect for the skills and perspectives of communities, partner organizations, private sector and trust committeeProficiency in MS Office ( especially work and MS excel)Knowledge of accounting software is an added advantageGood interpersonal skillsInterest in ConservationFluency in written and spoken English, Kiswahili and MaaIf your background, experience and competencies match the above specifications please send a cover letter, your detailed CV indicating daytime telephone numbers, address and names of three referees to
