Job Purpose
SPRINT aims to increase access to life-saving information and sexual and reproductive health services in humanitarian settings, as outlined in the minimum initial services package for reproductive health in crisis situations (MISP).
The Capacity Building Adviser is responsible for the development, and effective and accountable implementation of the SPRINT capacity building strategy.
The job holder will provide remote and on-site support to the regional Advisors and Country Coordination Teams (CCTs) to build regional and national capacity on the coordination of the MISP (component 2 of the project proposal).The capacity building strategy will encompass elements of advocacy, CCT coordination and gap filling to successfully prepare CCTs on MISP implementation.
Key Tasks
A. Emergency preparedness: Capacity Development

Project Officer - Animal Health
The Project Officer- Animal Health shall be responsible to and report directly to the Project Coordinator – Host Community or designate for the carrying out of his/her duties.
The purpose of the position is to provide community based animal health services and the supervision of livestock-related projects in the Turkana region.
Duties & responsibilities will include among others;
A diploma in a related discipline would also be considered.Proven training in project development and implementation.Proven academic or on-job training and understanding of the Project Cycle model in managing humanitarian assistance.At least 3 years of progressive experience in development or humanitarian program.

The Lutheran World Federation / Department for World Service Kenya / Djibouti Programme is seeking to recruit a Kenyan national for the following position, to be based at Kakuma refugee camp in Kenya.
Contract Duration: 6 months
Water Technician
The Water Technician shall be responsible to and report directly to the Project officer – Host community project or his designate for the carrying out of his/her duties.
The main responsibilities include;

Reporting to the Project officer and project coordinator Turkana host project, the incumbent will be expected to:-Participate in field assessments to identify areas that require water and sanitation interventionsProvide technical support during implementing of water activities; drilling, installation of pumping equipments(mainly hand pumps)Train local techniciansProvide technical advice/support to communities, Water User Associations (WUAs), hand pump technicians and pump operators on operation and maintenance of water facilities.Supervising the pump mechanic during repairs and installation of pumpsPreparation of bill of quantities and simple designs of water facilitiesMobilize Community during implementation of projectEnsure that environmental aspect of project sites are well incorporated during implementation as recommended in the environmental managements plans by NEMAParticipate in project Monitoring & EvaluationPrepare and compile various project reports weekly, monthly and other sitrep reports as may be requiredQualifications and Competencies:-

Camp Management Capacity Building Officer
