We are looking for Head Chef in a small scale luxury safari lodge (8 cottages), serving international cuisine (incl. packed meals and live BBQ events.)
We Expect:
preparation of various types of international dishes (4 course dinners)preparation of packed breakfasts and lunchesco-ordination of kitchen (including three other kitchen staff)correct food portioning and costingcompilation of menupreparing the weekly shopping requirements for the kitchencorrect storage of fresh and dry kitchen suppliesproper stock keep of all goods Educational qualifications and experiencebeing able to read and write in Englishbeing able to follow a recipemust have previous experience in similar job environmentable to communicate well with the guests and kitchen team memberscreativewilling to train junior staffmust be highly flexible and adaptable to live in a remote setting in Uganda , with off days scheduled according to lodge occupancyready to work under pressuremust be diligent and trustworthyfriendly and outgoing personality The salary payable depends on the experience and knowledge that is brought to the table, indicative package is USD 400-500 monthly plus board.Starting date: asap
