Job Title: Business Development Manager
Position Summary: The Business Development Manager (BDM) role is responsible for product sales and category mix in the hospitality industry.
Business Development Manager Key Duties & Responsibilities
Manage monthly menu mix to ensure the LSM targets are met
Drive initiatives to grow customer base, develop and implement local in-store activations, promotions, execute robust LSM plans to drive traffic into the stores
Analyze performance to identify areas of risk and opportunity, and create plans to mitigate or accelerate. The BDM analyzes sales performance in light of sales goals, and identifies areas of weakness in the stores to improve sales
Monthly / weekly analysis of business by door, to capitalize on future growth opportunities
Lead sales agreements with Corporate customers
Support Marketing, Finance and Operations in evaluating and refining reports and other administrative, or as needed projects
Business Development Key Skills and Behaviors
Demonstrated history of business analysis
Results oriented with proven business and sales experience
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong interpersonal skills; ability to forge immediate and long-lasting relationships
Proven management of the sales process from prospecting to closing of target accounts
Ability to earn high margins through creation of value for our customers
Self-starter, highly motivated, accountable, disciplined; can manage time effectively
Operate in a team-based environment working effectively with internal departments
Proficient with Microsoft Office Applications
Academics and Experience
First Degree in Business, management, Marketing or related field
3-4 years’ experience in Sales and Business Development in the hospitality industry with proven experience in developing and executing sales and winning business
Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Strategic planning and ability to generate and manage budgets
A polished, highly organized individual with well developed communications skills
Persuasive with excellent customer service orientation
Personal initiative, efficient at multi-tasking and independent thinking
Ability to foster team work and team spirit within the team
