Business Development & Activations Executive Job in Kenya




Position Title: Executive – Business Development & Activations

Reporting to: Head of Operations


The Executive BD & Activations will lead and oversee the development and growth of profitable new business; develop and maintain effective key customer relationships as well as ensure business growth through directing and managing business development activities.


Job Description



  • Plan & Execute focussed activations for the clinics (Camps, CMEs, Road Shows, and Patient Education Programs etc)

  • Create a plan around business development by initiating strategic tie-ups/corporate tie-ups for each clinic.

  • Carrying out market research through industry contacts, publications, trade events, news to identify ideas for growth

  • Reach out directly or through partners to target prospective business deals

  • Filter out high potential deals by analyzing business strategies, opportunity requirements / pre-requisites / financials, and internal priorities

  • Design the best negotiating strategies by considering the risks and rewards, and keeping in mind the counter-parties preferences & goals

  • Lead the negotiation to close the deal and draw in resources from within the company to make it happen

  • Manage all contractual requirements and align the end result with the company’s internal operations and capabilities

  • Constantly keep upgrading your business development techniques, and help in enhancing the company knowledge base by participating in training and educational initiatives

  • As the face of the organization, you will also help in building the brand of the company in the industry, vendor and customer community

  • Create budget for the activations and calculate payback period

  • Ensuring effectiveness of the program by personally monitoring the events

  • Create and execute the plan for sectors such as banking, IT, manufacturing, and schools for wellness programs for their employees.


Job Requirements: Skills & Qualifications:


  • Socially adept.

  • Good with numbers.

  • Able to provide quality leadership to a team of sales people.

  • Strong communication and IT fluency.

  • Creative talents and the ability to solve tough problems.

  • In-depth knowledge of the industry and its current events.

  • The ability to handle pressure and meet deadlines.

  • Skill in prioritizing and triaging obligations.

  • Excellent time management and organization.

  • 2-3yrs of working experience as a Sales & Marketing executive in health care industry.
