Real Estate Firm Property Manager Job in Nairobi, Kenya




Job Title: Property Manager
 



Location: Nairobi
 



Position reports to: General Manager
 



Job summary: A Real Estate firm seeks to recruit a dynamic and results oriented individual to fill the position of Property Manager. 



The primary role of the Property Manager is to administer exceptional customer focus towards both prospective and existing tenants by attending to their requests.


 


Key Duties and Responsibilities


  • Providing support to the General Manager in a range of functions associated with leasing and maintaining the properties in accordance with the landlord’s instructions.

  • Responding to general enquiries and requirements/requests from property manager that require approvals.

  • Conducting Inspection of the properties to ensure they are in good condition and order.

  • Preparing periodic property condition reports and advising the management accordingly.

  • Responsible for arranging maintenance and repairs to properties; which are to be carried out expeditiously, economically and to an acceptable standard.

  • Acting as a liaison between the company and the various clients (landlords) and regarding the general running of their properties.

  • In obtaining suitable tenants, ensuring lawful requirements, as well as organization procedures, are followed at all times.

  • Ensuring that any administrative functions as directed by the landlord are completed promptly and in an efficient manner.

  • Advising/updating the management on property management issues that may arise from time to time.


Qualifications and Experience


  • Diploma in Building/Estate/Facilities Management

  • Minimum of 3 years’ experience in real estate or property management

  • Demonstrated experience in the ability to work under pressure

  • Excellent in customer care

  • Strong written, verbal and organizational skills

  • IT savvy

  • Excellent time management skills and high accuracy

  • A team player

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Self-driven individual who requires minimal (if any) supervision.

  • Service oriented personality.


Key Success Factors


  • Prompt response to customer queries/needs

  • Timely/accurate property management reports

  • Timely billing and rent collection

  • Control of property management related costs
