Description: Our client in Ruaka area of Nairobi is currently looking to employ dedicated, reliable and experienced waiters / waitresses

Details Responsibilities of the waiting staff:

• Take orders from clients for food or beverages.


• Check with customers to ensure that they are enjoying their meals and take action to correct any problems.


• Serve food and/or beverages to clients; prepare and serve specialty dishes at tables as required. Remove dishes and glasses from tables or counters, and take them to kitchen for cleaning. Present menus to clients and answer questions about menu items, making recommendations upon request.


• Inform customers of daily specials.


• Clean tables and/or counters after patrons have finished dining.


• Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware


• Offer excellent customer service


• Ensure high grooming standards at all times

Qualifications

• Candidates with a certificate/Diploma/Degree from Food & Beverage production/Industry will be preferred but not a must.


• Appropriately trained in Food and Beverage sales & service from are a recognized hospitality training institution is an added advantage


• Candidates with prior Good work experience especially in a busy hospitality establishment from a fast food set-up will be a definite advantage.


• Candidates who are fresh from college, who are quick learners will be considered.


• Have a winning personality and smile.

• Good poise, well groomed and with proper professional etiquette


• A good command of the English language and communication skills


• Excellent customer service skills.


• An interest in food and drinks.


• High standards of personal hygiene.


• The ability to remain calm under pressure.
