An international construction company is currently recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor

Quantity Surveyor /Estimate Engineer

Location: Kenya

Profile of ideal candidate:

• Bachelor Degree or Diploma in one of the following disciplines: Building Economy, in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying or Building Technology


• Minimum 5 year experience in a similar position for Degree holders and 7 years’ experience for Diploma holders


• Good knowledge of MS Excel and MS Project Manager


• Excellent numerical and analytical skills


• Excellent sense of ethics and confidentiality


• Excellent organizational skills


• Stress resilient


• Dynamic and positive attitude


• Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment


• Proactivity

Main accountabilities:

• Reporting on price analysis both for construction materials and labour cost


• Assist Technical Director in the tendering process


• Perform budget control for materials used and materials purchased


• Assist in management of sub-contractors


• Assist Technical Director with contract management work


• Preparation of Interim Payment applications


• Participate in preparation of final accounts
