Consultancy Services to assess KNCHR 2012 Report on Public Inquiry into Violations of Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) in Kenya

The Federation of Women Lawyers Kenya (FIDA Kenya), Kenya National Commission on Human Rights (KNCHR), Ministry of Health (MoH) and World Vision Kenya are advertising for consultancy services to assess KNCHR 2012 Report on Public Inquiry into Violations of Sexual and Reproductive Health Rights (SRHR) in Kenya





The report was informed by FIDA Kenya and Centre for Reproductive Rights (USA) report “Failure to Deliver”. 






 

The assessment will be conducted in six Counties (Narok, Wajir, Kilifi, Homabay,  Kiambu and Nairobi).

Required Qualifications and Experience:

  • At least a Masters Degree in Social Sciences. A degree in Law is an added advantage.

  • Knowledge in Human rights principles and standards

  • Minimum five years’ experience in sexual and reproductive health and rights

  • Experience in conducting research. Completion of assignments of similar nature and magnitude should be demonstrated.

  • Ability to conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis and interpretation of data

  • Presentation and report writing skills

  • Ability to start the assignment immediately

  • Interpersonal and communication skills and can participate in high level discussions.

  • Competency in computer software applications including Microsoft Office programs (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and internet-based applications.

  • A forty-day (40) work plan and budget for the assignment

  • Motivational letter (maximum 2 pages)

  • Any other information that demonstrates qualification and suitability for the assignment.
