Job Vacancy: Budget Controller
Overall Job Objective: The incumbent should have finance back-ground and capable of controlling budgets both DME & Opex.
He/ She should be capable of engaging and interacting with all department heads in discussing their Opex.
He/ She will work closely with marketing department on management, phasing and re-phasing of DME numbers ensuring correct accruals, GRV, PO clearing and providing narratives on any variances monthly.
The incumbent will also be instrumental in the planned Opex savings initiatives aimed at reaching Opex by 10% in 2017.
The job holder will also be extensively involved in coordinationg various Finance projects including System Economics Tool, BPC migration to Hyperion ERP and NSR Tool (to replace COMPASS and Margin Minder)
The incumbent should be a potential recruit in Commercial Finance or System Economics roles should the roles become available.
Key Tasks & Responsibilities
- Weekly volume reporting; Monday, Wednesday, and Friday
- Monthly BULT Deck: retail core Assessment and volume reporting
- Month close volume submissions and reporting
- Quarterly UC/CSE Reconciliations for all EAF Bottlers
- Quarterly bottler volumes certification
- Monthly volume reconciliations between systems (Compass & BOFC)
- Monthly brand and pack analysis and submissions
- RE volume preparation/ forecast collation, consolidation, analysis and recommendation
- Simulation of financial implications of price/ volume/ mix and bottler P&Ls
Experience, Academic & Professional Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance
- Finance qualification (CPA or ACCA)
- Capable of controlling budgets both DME and Opex.
- Prior work experience in a relevant finance role will be added advantage but not mandatory.
