Vacancy in the Office of the Deputy Speaker
NOTICE is hereby given to all the Members of the County Assembly of Meru that pursuant to the notification in the Kenya Gazette by His Excellency the Governor, Meru County, the First Sitting of the County Assembly shall be held on Thursday, 7th September, 2017 at 9.00 a.m. in the County Assembly of Meru Buildings, Meru.
At that sitting, the Deputy Speaker of the County Assembly shall be elected pursuant to Standing Order No. 14 of the County Assembly of Meru Standing Orders.
Any person duly elected or nominated as a Member of the County Assembly of Meru and who is interested in contesting for this position is advised to collect nomination forms from the Office of the Clerk of the County Assembly at County Assembly of Meru Buildings, Meru, during working hours and on Saturday, 2nd September, 2017, and Sunday 3rd September, 2017 between 9.00 a.m. and 4.00 p.m.
Duly filed and signed nomination forms, together with detailed curriculum vitae of the candidate and relevant supporting documents should be HAND DELIVERED to the Office of the Clerk of the County Assembly located at the County Assembly of Meru premises along Kenyatta Highway and adjacent the Meru Museum, at least forty eight (48) hours before the County Assembly assembles for the purposes of the First Sitting, that is, not later than Tuesday, 5thSeptember, 20 I 7, at 9.00 a.m.
