JOB DESCRIPTION

Fitness Instructor




  • The Fitness Instructor will take responsibility/ownership and
    provide a truly memorable experience for the guest and fulfill the duties
    as a Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer and team member at Villa Rosa
    Kempinski. To have a clear understanding of, and work in line with all
    related standards, core values, visions and goals of Kempinski the spa.



Key Responsibilities:





  • Fitness Instructor / Personal Trainer are key in providing
    the life style services of the spa giving the guests the opportunity to
    maintain and develop their practices for a healthy and active life style.

  • Responsible in ensuring they deliver personalized, individual
    service to all guests in the Spa and Fitness area.

  • Providing the highest level of comfort and service, creating
    a genuine, welcoming and inspiring environment for all guests ensuring it
    is delivered in a safe fitness environment. 

  • To ensure any handover required in the guest journey as per
    outlined standard, follow up on experience, expectations and satisfaction
    and act on any discrepancies. You are to provide a service that is
    responsible, spontaneous, personal and genuine on their way to a healthier
    life.

  • Following the SOP and guidelines for Gym instructors and
    Personal Trainers.

  • Provide instructions and classes for a safe and inspiring
    fitness practice.

  • Have knowledge of process benefit and outcome of exercises to
    be conducted with related equipment in the fitness area.

  • Have knowledge in best practice of the equipment and exercise
    tools provided in the fitness area.

  • Conducting cardio test, health / fitness assessments, and
    flexibility tests with assigned clients.

  • Creating a workout plan/program with assigned client.

  • Setting up workout schedules with assigned clients.

  • Promoting and selling the services offered in the Spa in a
    motivating and inspiring manner.

  • Assisting Fitness attendant in keeping all area clean and
    well maintained.

  • Have knowledge in the Spa menu and related services in order
    to provide any recommendations suitable with a life style program.

  • Be well informed about the retail products and serve the
    clients requests and interests with regards to the same.

  • Have knowledge of and in all your duties follow the set
    guidelines SOP and checklists for Kempinski Spa.

  • Be present and actively particulate in meetings and training
    that is given by Kempinski Management.

  • Always stay informed on other spa activities and actively
    promote the same.

  • Be punctual at all times for appointments, staff functions
    and meetings.

  • To find a substitute when needed both for your own classes
    and the classes you have taken on as a substitute yourself.

  • Apply the qualities of discretion and maintain strict
    confidentiality at all times.

  • Handle any accident or guests incident in a swift and
    professional manner.

  • At all times present a healthy and well maintained appearance
    and proper grooming.

  • Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any
    time, depending on the need of the business and hotel.



Desired skills and
qualifications




  • Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma/Certificate in physical
    fitness/physical Education from a recognized institution.

  • Have relevant First Aid training certifications.

  • Must have at least three (3) years experience in a similar
    position .

  • Experience working with a 5* chain of hotels will be an added
    advantage.

  • High level of social skills and the ability to take
    responsibility for the customer service in related areas.

  • High standard of presentation is essential together with
    reliability and punctuality.

  • Ability to express oneself clearly and concisely.

  • Excellent grooming skills and must be well versed in
    professional and personal etiquette.

  • Knowledge of other foreign languages will be a distinct
    advantage.

  • Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure.

  • Ability to operate computer and office equipment.

  • Proficiency in Excel and Word.

  • Ability to establish and retain effective working
    relationships with hotel staff and clients
