Chief Accountant - Finance DepartmentThe job purpose is to ensure the financial health of the company through implementation of prudent financial management procedures and practices while ensuring facilitation of adequate operational controls & procedures in technical accounting in the companyKey Performance Areas 
Preparation of monthly/quarterly and year-end accounts Preparation and review of monthly and quarterly budgetary reports, cash flow reports and other Management and Board reports and annual returns to the Commissioner of Insurance. Reviewing accounting entries and ensuring compliance with reporting procedures and policies (IFRS) Reviewing from time to time the accounting systems and controls in place and making recommendations for improvements where necessary; Cash flow management with emphasis on premium collections and payments to insurers Maintaining control of company investments and ensuring maximization of returns. Coordinating the end of year audit process and ensuring that the correct and relevant audit schedules are provided to the auditors on a timely basis. Tax Planning and compliance Liaising with external parties e.g. bankers, Statutory bodies for any matters arising Training, coaching and developing the finance Team.Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting or Finance or a Business related degree, CPA (K). 6 years relevant experience with computerized computing systems, 3 of which must have been in a management level.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, High integrity, Team player, Computer literacy and familiarity with standard office computer applications Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlinesFor considerations, email only a two page resume to hr@clarkson.co.ke to be received no later than 13th June 2014.Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted. Quote the reference number on the subject part of the email.

Supervisor - Claims

The duties and responsibilities will include:-

Reviewing of documents and pertinent requirements regarding an insurance claim.Ensure that the insurance claim made by the claimant is complete in form and complies with the documentary requirements of an insurance claim.To advice claimants regarding basic matters about their insurance coverage in relation to the insurance claim.Respond to both internal and external claims inquiries concerning benefits, claims process, service providers, and the filing/completion of proper forms.Recording and processing of all claims transactions to ensure they are accurately entered in the system.
Opening of hard-copy claim files.Prepare claims registers for claims meetings and update the various claims reports.Prepare initial claim letter and mail to insured, along with appropriate forms for completion.
Track and follow up on receipt of necessary forms.Coordinate with the Underwriting department, as necessary.Generally ensuring the highest level of quality customer service in the claims process.At least 4 years work experience in an insurance claims departmentExcellent knowledge in general insurance business and claims processingIIK or CII Diploma Qualification or good progressCompetencies/ Personal Attributes:
